MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the Department of Ballet at the University of Utah is to provide excellence in career and life preparation for professional performers and teachers. The Mission will be pursued through the following measures:
· Offering students a variety and scope of courses necessary to develop versatile and technically proficient artist/scholars skilled in performing, teaching, and creative research.
· Instilling a passion for learning and exploration of the creative process through sound, responsible theoretical practices and creative endeavors.
· Creating a supportive environment for the artistic and personal development of students, faculty, and staff.
· Providing collaborative experiences within the colleges and beyond.· Honoring the University's service mission through cultural outreach, collaborative efforts, and charitable endeavors.
